Love in the time of muscles
STChM Records introduces its first signed artist: Moules Moules.
A largely undocumented Zambian group active from the late 1960s through the 1970s, Moules Moules are believed to have been five brothers who produced an extensive body of work before quietly disappearing in the early 1980s. Very little is known about their lives or movements, and no verified recordings have surfaced publicly until now.
STChM acquired distribution rights to a portion of their archive through a private agreement with an unnamed family member currently based in Finland. From this material, a selection of recordings has been restored and compiled. These tracks form Love in the Time of Muscles, a new LP release assembled as the official soundtrack to the STChM film Everyone Loves Muscles, recipient of the Silver Ciclope.
The record presents eight selected works drawn from across their catalogue. The recordings retain their original character, including tonal inconsistencies and environmental artifacts, preserved as part of the source material.
